Dear Fred, we only met a couple of times and wrote each other a few lettres. Still, every time I think of you and the fact that you are no longer with us and we will never meet again, I feel so very sad. I guess that's because we got on so well from the very first time we met. You brought my 'it is never too late to do anything' philosophy in to such an inspiring practice. At age 96, you wrote me to tell me you had just bought yourself a violin. A couple of months later you wrote: ""The violin playing has every signs of getting to a reasonable standard of playing..." You were always full of hope and great plans and projects. I'll never forget that and will do my best to live up to that standard.Thank you for crossing my path. Always in my heart.
